The scenic River Cam may be pictured as a giant boomerang 4 km across with its open-end facing the Cambridge mainline railway station (London is 50 minutes away - see national rail timetable), some 2.4 km from El Shaddai(1) which is the centre point of the boomerang, nestling in the heart of this historic city. Like the boomerang, you will return!

A shuttle-bus runs regularly from the railway station (3) to the central bus and coach station (2) (some 500 metres from El Shaddai(1) ), where both local and national services operate. There is an inexpensive open-top touring bus operated by a company named Guide Friday that enables passengers to visit many the sights of Cambridge in comfort without walking! Public transport is a simple yet inexpensive way of visiting the surrounding villages and towns.

El Shaddai is nestled between the green, open spaces of Parker's Piece and Christ's Pieces, as can be seen from this map
